Fashion For Future

A project that combines fashion innovationand technology revolution

 

On 20 September 2023 at the Castello dell'Acciaiolo in Scandicci, Florence, the Fashion for Future Laboratory, an innovative project involving universities, training institutes, software houses and companies in the fashion sector will be presented and launched.The project is born from the collaboration between the University of Florence, through the Departments of Industrial Engineering, Department of Information Engineering and the Department of Architecture, the ITS MITA Foundation, the PIN of Prato, and the software houses Deda Stealth, Remira Italia, and Tamera.

The goal is to create a network of multidisciplinary skills to develop innovative technological solutions for the fashion industry. The constantly evolving fashion sector requires cutting-edge solutions to be competitive in the market. The Fashion For Future Project is the result of the collaboration between researchers, academics, managers, and entrepreneurs in the fashion and tech sector, and it aims to provide essential technological resources for the excellence and sustainability of fashion companies.

This initiative aims to improve efficiency in the fashion industry through Industry 4.0, encouraging communication between fashion and IT and promoting responsible and sustainable production. Events and training courses will be organized to present innovative solutions and develop industry skills.

 

The first training initiative will be launched at the event. The project is called TRAIN FOR DIGITAL (https://mitacademy.it/trainfordigital/), and i' has been selected by the Fund for the Digital Republic - Social Enterprise, which aims to develop digital and technical skills for the fashion sector and is addressed to 334 young people between 18 and 34 years across Italy.The opening event of the Fashion For Future Workshop will guest many speakers including Walter Lutz, Secretary General Textile ETP, who will illustrate the European research agenda for innovation in the fashion sectors, and Luca Sburlati, CEO of the Pattern group, who will showcase how digitalization has transformed the world of luxury through a corporate testimony. Fabrizio Paltrinieri, Key Account Manager - International & Strategic Alliance of Deda Stealth will be one of the protagonists of the round table moderated by the journalist Francesco Selvi.
